During the Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor Course, you will develop your skills as an Emergency Response Specialist and focus on enhancing your teaching abilities to instruct others. The instructor course provides additional training necessary to teach Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), Pediatric Care, and CPR and AED courses. (Many regional workplace courses may require additional training.)
Through a blended approach of independent study, classroom sessions, and practical teaching assignments, you will learn how to conduct Emergency First Response courses effectively.
The instructor course covers specific objectives and performance requirements for Basic Care, Secondary Care, Pediatric Care, and CPR and AED courses. It also includes guidance on structuring learning, performance-based training requirements, and your role and the learning environment as an instructor. Additionally, you will learn how to motivate students, assess student knowledge, present course content effectively, enhance students' practical skills, and provide an effective scenario-based learning experience. You will also receive information to assist you in marketing your EFR business.
